Privacy
I like useful information. I do not need all of yours.
This notice explains what information may be collected when you use the Office Auntie website, why it is collected, and what choices you have.
The short version: I want to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary to run the site, send Auntie Notes to people who asked for them, and respond when someone gets in touch.
Who is responsible for this site?
Danielle Sanders, creator of Office Auntie, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
For privacy questions or requests, contact:
What information I collect
If you sign up for Auntie Notes, I collect the email address you provide.
If you contact me by email, I receive the information you choose to include so I can read and respond to your message.
The website may also generate limited technical information needed to load, secure, and operate the site.
Email and Auntie Notes
If you sign up for Auntie Notes, I collect the email address you provide so I can send the newsletter and manage your subscription.
Office Auntie uses MailerLite to process newsletter signups and send email. When you submit the signup form, your email address and the technical information needed to process that signup are sent to MailerLite.
Auntie Notes uses double opt-in. After you sign up, MailerLite sends a confirmation email. You are not added as an active newsletter subscriber until you confirm.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in an Auntie Notes email.
Unsubscribing from Auntie Notes does not prevent me from replying to a separate message you send me.
Service providers
I use third-party services to operate Office Auntie.
The website is built in Framer.
MailerLite
MailerLite provides the email signup and newsletter-delivery service for Auntie Notes. If you sign up, MailerLite processes the information needed to manage your subscription and deliver email.
I’ll also update this section if I add another service that handles personal information through the website.
Analytics, cookies, and browser storage
I do not want to track people around the internet merely because they visited Office Auntie.
Office Auntie uses Framer’s built-in site analytics. Framer says its built-in analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not collect information that identifies an individual visitor.
I do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session-recording software, or behavioral advertising tools on this site.
The Auntie Notes signup form uses MailerLite’s form technology. In the current implementation, the form does not set a cookie, but it stores a randomly generated visitor identifier called ml_guid in your browser’s local storage and sends that identifier with a signup submission.
The form also loads supporting code from MailerLite’s servers. The MailerLite form-view tracking pixel is not enabled in the current Office Auntie implementation.
If I add materially different analytics, advertising, or tracking tools later, I’ll update this page.
International visitors
Office Auntie is available to people in more than one country.
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights over your personal information, such as asking to access, correct, delete, or restrict how it is used.
If you want to exercise a privacy right that applies to you, email hello@officeauntie.com.
How long information is kept
I do not want to keep personal information longer than there is a good reason to have it.
Newsletter subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed and as needed to maintain unsubscribe, consent, or delivery records. MailerLite may also retain records as required for its own legal and operational purposes.
If you unsubscribe, I may retain the minimum record needed to honor that choice and avoid accidentally adding you back to the list.
Email correspondence may be kept for as long as it is reasonably useful for the conversation, recordkeeping, or another legitimate purpose.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from Auntie Notes at any time using the link in any Auntie Notes email.
You can also contact me if you want to ask what personal information I have about you, request a correction or deletion, or exercise another privacy right that applies where you live.
Send privacy requests to hello@officeauntie.com.
I may need enough information to verify the request and make sure I am not handing somebody else your information.
Changes to this notice
I may update this notice as Office Auntie, the website, or the services I use change.
The current version will always be posted here with its latest revision date.
